Background to Bio-regenerative
Medicine & Cellular Therapies

Our body contains the innate ability to heal itself, and the world’s scientific community are beginning to agree that it is entirely possible to stimulate and empower a person’s own healing process.

Cellular Therapy is a natural rejuvenation method first introduced to the world by Swiss-national, Professor Dr. Paul Niehans in the 1930s. Through his scientific research into the implantation of animal cell extracts to regenerate human tissue and revitalise the body, Niehans initiated and developed the pioneering fields of cellular therapy and bio-regenerative medicine.

In cellular therapy, one of the four main concentrations in the field of bio-regenerative medicine, stem cells and placenta extracts are used to repair, regenerate or replace diseased cells, tissues and organs.

Cellular therapy works through the introduction of cells or extracts of animal fetal tissue or botanical cells extracts into the human body. The introduced cells or extracts stimulate the growth and function of existing tissue, awaken dormant cells and repair old or malfunctioning cells.

Niehans was the first to discover that cells are organ specific, but not species specific.  He also observed the phenomenon of live cells circulating through the human body from the site of injection until they recognised and gathered at the human counterpart of the organ - for example, injected liver cells would automatically search for the liver - to repair and regenerate.

Originally concentrating on products produced from mammal cell extracts carefully harvested from closed-colony laboratories, the cellular therapy field has since expanded to encompass botanical cell products. Clinical trials have proven these botanical cell extracts are just as effective in cellular revitalisation therapies.

Over 80 years of safe, professional practice as well as global research and development have produced more than 8 million clinical applications of cellular therapy, which has been scientifically proven in its effectiveness in delaying the process of human aging.

Although cellular therapy research is now conducted throughout the world, Switzerland retains its reputation and major contributing role to the industry. Some of the world’s best doctors specialising in the field of bio-regenerative medicine continue to be based in the region, focusing on improving the technology and applications of all cell therapies.

Rapid acceleration in the global field of bio-regenerative medicine research and development, particularly over the last two decades, has delivered astonishing results and heralds a new era and holistic approach to health and well-being.
